Bethsy is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. She brings over 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings. Bethsy earned her B.A. degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, graduating with honors and receiving the Outstanding Graduate in Psychology Award. She earned her first M.A. degree with a grant from the University of California at San Diego, where her focus of study was treating children with autism using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Upon graduating from UCSD, she worked for a private practice in Los Angeles and Orange County providing counseling and psychotherapy services to children and families who struggled with anxiety, depression, domestic violence, and abuse. During this time she completed a second M.A. degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in Irvine, California. Subsequently, she had the opportunity to work for various counseling agencies providing therapeutic services for children with neurodevelopment disorders, including ASD and ADHD, and their families. Bethsy offers a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy. She brings a warm smile to her sessions and understands that the relationship between the client and the therapist is the basis for healing and growth. Bethsy values spending quality time with her husband of 23 years and their teenage son. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing and making life more beautiful.
